CONDITIONING (FITNESS TRAINING)

Description
The Conditioning Class at Kombat Arts is geared towards building your strength both mentally and physically. Every class is a little different, but the concept is to strengthen and condition your body without weights; using bodyweight only. (i.e. various styles of push ups, chin ups, abs, squats etc.).

Although each class differs and may focus more on one particular theme: cardio, legs, arms etc., the way the classes are structured, your all important “core” will always be developed and conditioned in each and every class.

Class Format
Each class mixes a collection of drills and exercises that train both aerobic and anaerobic systems to gain unlimited endurance, reduce body fat, increase lean muscle, develop explosive power, help you achieve higher levels of strength, and ultimately give you unbreakable mental toughness.

You will never be asked to do something that the Coach of the class can’t do.  Remember that this is a Konditioning Class; be prepared for a high energy class with very few breaks.  Mentally, you should be prepared for a 6-7 minute warm-up, followed by a quick water break, another 45 minutes of intense training with a few quick breaks for water, followed by stretching for the remainder of the class.

NOTE TO BEGINNERS: Go at your own pace.  If a certain number of reps is called out and you can only do half the number, that’s okay… All that is requested is that you do the most that YOU can do – push yourself!  Some students have been taking the classes for years, some only weeks or months – the only person you need to worry about “impressing” is yourself. You don’t need to “be in top shape” to take this class, but you will get into top shape if you take this class on a regular consistent basis.

Attire
Shorts, t-shirt, towel (be prepared to sweat!) and make sure to have water on hand.  Running shoes are required Spring thru Fall only when classes are held outside.
